About me
Amy Montford is the Vice President of Individual Retirement Solutions, Principal Life
Insurance Company® and Chief Executive Officer of Principal Advised Services at
Principal Financial Group®. Her background has been across a wide array of businesses,
including over 25 years in the retirement industry.
Amy joined Principal® in 1998 and has served in various leadership roles across the
company. Her previous roles with Principal include Head of Pension Risk Transfer with
responsibilities for sales, product development, contract issuance and administration, and
Head of Stock Plan Services with responsibilities for sales, administrative services, and
expansion of the business into Equity Compensation Recordkeeping Services.
In her current role, Amy is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the
Individual Solutions segment which includes accountability for the education and advisory
services provided to plan participants.
